Foundations Makes Contribution to Habitat for Humanity

The Foundation made a monetary contribution to the Habitat for Humanity Montgomery County Lingamore Woods Project in Burtonsville, Maryland, for the April 12, 2007 project, as well as to the Habitat for Humanity projects in Harford County and Charles County. These projects brought the Maryland Land Title Association and the Foundation some statewide recognition through American Land Title Association (ALTA), as well as much personal satisfaction for the Foundation and Association members who worked on the construction sites. In addition, a video produced by the Harford Cable Network about the Habitat program that the Foundation contributed toward was a valuable public relations tool for the settlement industry as well.

Memorials

The Foundation sponsored the dedication and intallation of a plaque in the Land Records room of Montgomery County, honoring the life of Al Nylen, a long time title abstractor who passed away in 2006.

The Foundation made a contribution to the Michael F. Wille Memorial Fund. The Vice President of the American Land Title Association, Mike Wille was tragically killed in a plane accident.
